Jersey Touch provides initiatives and schemes at foundation, participation, performance and elite levels to ensure there is something for everyone. We have a number of experienced and qualified coaches, referees and other volunteers who are passionate about the development of touch both on the island and globally.
Jersey touch runs tournaments from beach touch to knock-outs, coaching workshops at all levels and local modules. Included amongst the many initiatives we run is the Walkers Summer League with over 300 participants and 35 teams. Following this competition is the more performance-based Superleague to help bridge the gap between club and international levels.
At the elite level, Jersey Touch have an excellent track record including several European Mixed Open titles, the best attacking and defending record in the Mixed Open at the 2010 European Championships winning 8 from 9 games and a quarter final place in the 2011 World Cup – not bad for an island 9x5 miles. The training available to Jersey players is second to none with access to the highest levels of strength and conditioning, tactics and game plans, sports psychology and performance nutrition.
